Extension Piece for 8-Foot-Wide Pedestrian Refuge
To extend an 8-foot-wide pedestrian refuge, use the MTI-1200 extension piece, which measures 4 ft x 4 ft. Two pieces are required to create an 8 ft wide by 4 ft long extension.
These extension pieces can be installed back-to-back or connected in sequence to create a longer refuge within a median. The design can also incorporate an opening with tactile pads to clearly define the pedestrian walkway.
Surface options are available in either smooth or faux brick texture.
