Concrete barriers
Images 1 through 4 show a series of concrete barrier installations.
Unlinked concrete barriers (images 1 through 3) offer little impact protection unless anchored individually. They also move dangerously upon impact.
Linked concrete barriers (image 4) often crumble upon impact, showering debris upon oncoming traffic. A collapsed barrier can fail to stop the crash vehicle from colliding with oncoming traffic.

Phalanx® Wide Area Protection Systems have the highest crash impact rating of any portable impact protection system available today. Turn key systems are available from 20 ft (for between buildings and access ways) and up to 600 foot (185 meter) container packages complete with walls, gates, fencing and corner elements for Out of Box & Easy to Assemble perimeter protection.

PHALANX® Lightweight for mobility
The lightweight steel structure is portable and easy to handle with conventional lifting equipment. It is also cost effective to transport, with up to 600 ft. (180 meters) per truck load or container load. With optional wheels setup, relocating and storage cannot be easier.
Shallow anchoring reduces the foundation thickness requirements and no ballast is needed for the system to perform according to specifications.
